    Frequently asked questions

    Category

What is a safety hypodermic needle?

A safety hypodermic needle includes a built-in safety mechanism (e.g. shield, retractable cover, or locking system) to protect users from accidental needle sticks both during use and disposal.

How do safety needles help prevent injury?

After an injection, the safety mechanism engages (manually) to cover or retract the needle, minimizing exposure to the sharp tip and significantly reducing the risk of needlestick injuries.

Are safety needles compatible with standard syringes?

Yes, all our safety needles are designed to work with standard luer lock or luer slip syringes, allowing seamless integration into existing workflows without needing special equipment

Are your syringes CE marked and MHRA compliant?

Absolutely. All RayMed medical syringes are CE certified, MHRA compliant, and meet ISO standards for single-use sterile syringes.
